About LMS

LMS is Ireland's first womens club team. We're based in Dublin, and train weekly throughout the year. In 2010 we finished 29th at the World Ultimate Club Championships, and won the inaugural Huck of the Irish women's tournament in Ireland. We are looking to build on these successes in 2011, and if you are an enthusiastic female player looking to compete and improve, we want to hear from you!

Congratulations to Mandy/Louise who made all 6 of our Foundation training sessions before Christmas!! Woop woop :)

LMS at Belfast Christmas Cracker

Fiona, Jen, Heather, Lucy, Mandy and Laura traveled up north to compete at the Belfast Christmas Cracker , an open indoor tournament, in December 2009.

It was LMS's first tournament and we showed everyone what we were made of. We played 9 20minute games with 1 sub. We won 5 and lost 4, but no bagels!!, and finished a respectable 7th out of 12 :)

Not only that but LMS took home the coveted Spirit prize!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better start as a new club on the scene. Congrats to all who took part and made it possible! One person less and we may have been in trouble ;)

We began our rigorous fitness program devised by fitness guru Alan Doyle, we started training in Jobstown Tallaght floodlit pitches on Monday evenings, we attended our first tournament (more on this..) in Belfast, we have played 2 monthly grass games 7-a-side, have had our first social/drunken night out in Howl at the Moon and we have registered for our first season of tournaments starting with Toms Tourney and peaking with the World Club Championships in Prague!!

It has been a great start to our new club and the season looks to be getting better and better! Now to fill ye in on the last few months...
